The provisions of this chapter shall constitute a part of the contract with every person who connects to the town sewer system.

Editor’s Note: The municipal ordinance governing penalties for discharging wastewater in such a manner as to violate the regulations governing the discharge of waters and waste into the public sewer system, as promulgated by the Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners, is on file in the office of the Town Clerk.
Any person found to be violating any provision of the regulation or a permit issued thereunder shall be served by the town with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violations.

Any person who violates this regulation or any permit issued hereunder shall be fined $50 for each violation. Each day in which any violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate violation.
Any person violating any provision of the regulation or of a permit issued thereunder shall become liable to the town for any expense, loss or damage incurred the town by reason of such violation.
