For the calendar year 1979, and for each and every calendar year thereafter, the penalty for delinquent payment of McKees Rocks Borough real estate taxes be and the same hereby is fixed at 10% of the face amount of said tax.

It is the intent of this article to fix only the rate of penalty for delinquent payment of real estate tax, not to abrogate any other law requiring the payment of interest upon delinquent payment of real estate tax, it being the express declaration of said Borough that the right of the Borough to collect interest thereon, in addition to the penalty hereinabove set forth, shall continue unabated.
Any and all ordinances of the Borough of McKees Rocks heretofore adopted relative to the fixing of the rate of penalty for delinquent payment of real estate taxes be and the same hereby are expressly repealed.
This article shall become effective immediately.
