The 2021 edition of the International Plumbing Code is hereby adopted as the official plumbing code of the city, and is fully incorporated by reference as though copied into this division in its entirety. The material contained in such code shall not be included in the formal municipal codification of ordinances but shall be maintained as a public record in the office of the city secretary and will be available for public inspection and copying during regular business hours.

The 2021 edition of the International Plumbing Code, as adopted herein is hereby amended by adoption of those local amendments shown on exhibit D on file in the office of the city secretary.

Except for work by a person who owns and resides in the residence for which a permit is sought, no plumbing work shall be performed in the city except by a person currently registered with the city or his employees. Registration shall only be available to a master plumber licensed by the state under the plumbing license law, V.T.C.A., Occupations Code ch. 1301. Such registration shall be valid for one year from the date of registration. Registration shall be available upon furnishing of a copy of the applicant's state license and proof of registrant's liability insurance to the city secretary.
