For the purpose of supervising and maintaining the public park and recreation place and any other parks or recreation places that may in the future be acquired or established by the Borough of Myerstown, a Recreation Board is established. The Recreation Board shall consist of five members, appointed by Borough Council. They shall serve for five-year terms, staggered so that the term of one member shall expire annually. The Recreation Board shall posses all the authority vested by law in borough recreation boards. The Recreation Board in office at the time of enactment of this amendment shall constitute the Recreation Board established and referred to in this Section, and nothing in this amendment shall affect the present terms of office of those individuals.
