There is an Indigenous Peoples' Affairs Commission for the Town of Indian Head.

The Commission shall be composed of four voting members appointed by the Town Council for terms of five years each. A voting member may be reappointed for successive terms of five years each. The voting members shall include:

In addition to the four voting members, a member of the Town Council selected by the Council shall be an ex officio member of the Commission who shall not have a vote except to break a tie. The ex officio member shall serve a term of two years, except that the term of office shall terminate when the Council member leaves office.

In the event of a vacancy, a replacement Commission member shall have the same qualifications, and be appointed for the remainder of the unexpired term, in the same manner as the member whose vacancy is being filled.
E.
The Chair of the Commission shall be appointed by the Town Council for a term of one year. The term of the Chair may be renewed for one or more successive terms of one year each.

The Town Council shall appoint a member of the Town staff as staff to the commission.
