A nonmotorized device with wheels commonly known and designated as a skateboard, or any variation thereof, may be operated on Lake Street only, between sunrise and sunset.
Recently, volunteers and donors helped to install the "half pipe" skateboard ramp in the city's park, and a park master plan depicts a larger skate park area to be developed in the future, with efforts currently underway to reach that goal.
In accordance with California Health and Safety Code, Section 115800(b), the city of Point Arena hereby requires any person riding a skateboard at the facility to wear a helmet, elbow pads, and kneepads. The city also requires the posting of signs at the facility affording reasonable notice that any person riding a skateboard at the facility must wear a helmet, elbow pads, and kneepads, and that any person failing to do so will be subject to citation. Signs shall be posted in English and Spanish.
