A. 
The Town is not liable for damage resulting from an interruption in service. When possible, and as time permits, the Town shall notify customers prior to shutdowns or temporary interruptions in service.
B. 
The Town is not liable for interruptions, shortages or insufficiency of supply, or for loss or damage occasioned thereby, if caused by accident, act of God, fire, strikes, riots, war or other cause not within its control.
C. 
Whenever necessary or convenient for the purpose of making repairs or improvements to its system, the Town may temporarily suspend delivery of water and it is not liable for loss or damage occasioned thereby.

A. 
Nonpayment of Bills. The Town may discontinue a customer's water service for nonpayment of a bill as provided in Section 13.40.020.
B. 
Unsafe or Wasteful Apparatus. The Town may refuse to furnish water and may discontinue service to premises where apparatus, appliances or equipment using water is dangerous, unsafe or wasteful. The Town does not assume the liability for inspecting apparatus on the customer's property. The Town has the right to inspect apparatus if it has cause to believe that unsafe or wasteful apparatus is in use.
C. 
Service Detrimental to Others. The Town may refuse to furnish water and may discontinue service to premises if excessive demands by one customer or the installation of apparatus, appliances, equipment or otherwise may be detrimental or injurious to the water service furnished to other customers. The Town may refuse to furnish water and may discontinue service to premises if excessive demands by customer may result in inadequate service to others.
D. 
Fraud and Abuse. The Town may refuse or discontinue water service if necessary to protect itself against fraud or abuse.
E. 
Noncompliance. The Town may discontinue water service if the customer violates any part of this division or a rule or regulation adopted under the authority of this division. Before discontinuing service, the Town shall give five days' written notice of intention to discontinue service, except notice to discontinue service for nonpayment shall be given in accordance with Section 13.40.020. In cases of emergency or if the violation affects health and safety, the Town may discontinue service immediately.
F. 
Customer's Request for Service Discontinuance. A customer may discontinue water service by giving notice not less than two days before its effective date. If the customer does not give two days' notice, the customer shall pay for water service until two days after the Town has received notice that the customer has vacated the premises or discontinued water service.
G. 
Restoration—Reconnection Charge. The Town may charge a fee as established by Council resolution for restoring water service which is discontinued for noncompliance with this division.
