This ordinance is known and may be designated as the "Gloucester Township Organization Ordinance of 1982."
For the purposes of this chapter, except as the context may otherwise require, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
A Mayor-Council Plan B (Article 4) of the Optional Municipal Charter Law (New Jersey Laws of 1950, Ch. 210, as amended[1]).
An organizational unit of the government established or designated by this chapter as a department.
An organizational unit of the government established or designated by this ordinance as a division, and shall be part of a department.
Statutes which are not inconsistent with the Charter and either are, by their terms, applicable or available to all municipalities, or relate to taxation, local courts, education, health, public authorities serving more than one municipality, and municipalities in an unsound financial condition.
Refers to the Township of Gloucester, in the County of Camden, New Jersey.
Any and all ordinances of the Township of Gloucester in force and effect on July 1, 1982, and thereafter.
An organizational unit of government established by this chapter as a subdivision, and shall be part of a division.

All ordinances and resolutions, including amendments and supplements thereto, of the Township of Gloucester, and any board, department or division thereof heretofore in existence as of July 1, 1982, except such as may be inconsistent with any and all provisions of the Charter, including amendments thereto, are hereby continued in full force and effect according to their terms.
