A.
There is hereby created an Advisory Historical and Scenic Preservation Committee of the Township of Gloucester, consisting of not to exceed 20 members to be appointed by the Township Council, and to serve without compensation. A member shall be appointed for a term of five years. If a vacancy occurs otherwise than by the expiration of a term, it shall be filled by an appointment, as above provided, for the unexpired term.
B.
The terms of the present membership (15) shall remain unchanged by this amendment. As the present membership is increased from 15 to 20 members, the additional appointments shall be as follows: the initial term of the majority of the new appointments, as they are made, shall be for two years, and the initial term of the remaining new appointments shall be for one year. Thereafter, as each initial term expires, a members shall be appointed for five years.
C.
In addition to the regular appointments, any individual who was previously a resident of the Township of Gloucester for more than 20 years and is currently living outside of the Township may be considered for membership.
