Every person engaging in the business of operating any wagon, dray, van, truck, cart or other vehicle for the transportation of baggage, express, freight, household goods, merchandise or materials for hire, or for the collection of such articles for hire, shall pay a license fee of twenty-five dollars per year for each vehicle used in such business.

A. 
Each operator of an auto rental agency shall pay an annual license fee of five dollars per auto, or on gross receipts basis, whichever is greater.
B. 
Each operator of a truck rental agency shall pay an annual license fee of ten dollars per truck, or on gross receipts basis, whichever is greater.

A. 
Each operator of public transportation shall pay a license fee of ten dollars per year for each vehicle seating less than fifteen persons, or on gross receipts basis, whichever is greater.
B. 
Each operator of public transportation shall pay a license fee of twenty-five dollars per year for each vehicle seating more than fifteen persons, or on gross receipts basis, whichever is greater.
