A. 
No person shall engage in any form of door to door peddling or solicitation, nor ring the doorbell, nor knock on the door, nor attempt by any other means to make personal contact with any resident or occupant, nor to gain admittance to any residence, dwelling, flat, apartment or other residential unit where a sign bearing the words "No Peddlers," "No Solicitors" or other words of similar import is painted, affixed or exposed to plain view except upon express invitation or consent of the resident or occupant residing therein.
B. 
No person shall continue to engage in any form of peddling or solicitation of any residence, dwelling, flat, apartment or other residential unit after having been requested to leave such residence, dwelling, flat, apartment or other residential unit by any resident, occupant or other person in lawful possession thereof, and no person shall refuse to leave the premises of any residence, dwelling, flat, apartment or other residential unit after having been requested so to leave by any resident, occupant or other person in lawful possession thereof.

No person shall peddle or hawk ice cream, confectioneries or any other kinds of goods within five hundred feet of the property line of any public or private school grounds each day that any school thereat is in session.
This section shall not apply to merchants having stores within said prohibited areas regarding sales made within said store buildings, nor to any parent-teacher association, or committee thereof, or similar organization regarding activities conducted wholly on school grounds with the prior approval of the school authorities.
