Except as provided in Sections 2.44.020, all regular full-time employees of the city shall reside in an area defined as a circle, 40 miles in radius, whose center point is the Placentia Civic Center.

Any new regular full-time employee hired by the city after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be required to move into the residence area established in Section 2.44.010 within six months after his/her date of hire.

All department head and division head employees of the city shall be encouraged to reside within the city or the immediate vicinity.
