The city council adopts by this reference Article 1 through 10 of Division 1 of Title 4, and Divisions 1, 2, and 3 of Title 5 of the Codified Ordinances of the County of Orange, and other regulations presently adopted by the Orange County board of supervisors concerning animal control, as amended by the County from time to time.

Whenever in the pound and animal control ordinance adopted by Section 9.04.010 the following names or terms are used, each such name or term shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to it in this section as follows:
(1) 
"Board of supervisors" means the city council of the city.
(2) 
"County of Orange, county or unincorporated territory" means the city.
(3) 
"County poundmaster" means the county poundmaster acting on behalf of the city.
(4) 
"County veterinary officer" means the county veterinary officer acting on behalf of the city.
