The purpose of this chapter is to enable the city of Placentia
to waive the requirements of California law with regard to property
acquisition, dispositions and abandonments relative to street purposes
in specified situations.

Notwithstanding the provisions of California Government Code
Section 65402(a), the city council of the city of Placentia hereby
finds that the provisions of said California Government Code Section
65402(a), or any successor provision or provisions thereto, shall
not apply in the following circumstances:
(1)
The disposition of the remainder of a larger parcel which was acquired
and used in part for street purposes;
(2)
Acquisitions, dispositions or abandonments for street widening; or
(3)
Alignment projects, provided such dispositions for street purposes,
acquisitions, dispositions or abandonments for street widening or
alignment projects are of a minor nature.
