The construction and improvement of roads in the village may be done directly by the village without submitting such construction or improvement for bids as provided by Wis. Stats. § 62.15(1). This section has been adopted by three-quarters of all members elected to the village board as provided by Wis. Stats. § 62.15(1).

The authority vested in the board of public works under the provisions of Wis. Stats. § 62.15 shall be exercised by the village board or as delegated by the village board.
