A.
Before entering into their duties, the city clerks shall execute a bond to the city in an amount as determined from time to time by resolution passed by the city council.
B.
Before entering into their duties, the city treasurers shall execute a bond to the city in an amount as determined from time to time by resolution of the city council.
C.
The bonds provided for in this section shall guarantee the city against any loss by the principals or their deputies or assistants, and shall be in a form satisfactory to the city and to the provisions of the Government Code relating to bonds required of public officers.
