No person shall have, keep, maintain or have in possession or under control any live fowl within the city. "Live fowl" means and includes duck, goose, seafowl, peacock, turkey and pheasant.

A. 
Except as provided in subsection B, no person shall keep or maintain any rabbit within the city less than 50 feet from any single-family or two-family dwelling or less than 100 feet from any hotel or dwelling occupied by, or designed for the occupancy of three or more families.
B. 
One live rabbit may be kept or maintained as a pet on any lot or parcel of land within the city, provided that the pen, coop or other such enclosure for any such pet rabbit shall be no less than 20 feet from any structure designed or used for human habitation.

Nothing contained in this chapter shall be deemed to prohibit the keeping of rabbits by regularly licensed dealers for the purpose of sale at their respective places of business. Such animals shall be kept and maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and such dealers shall conform to and abide by the rules and regulations of the health department with reference to the keeping of such animals on the premises of such dealers.

A. 
No person, by means of any application to or upon the exterior portion thereof or in any other manner, shall dye, artificially color or alter or otherwise change the natural color of any live rabbit.
B. 
No person shall sell, offer or display for sale, barter or give to any person any live rabbit, the natural color of which animal has been changed by dyeing, coloring, or any other artificial manner.
C. 
No person shall sell, offer for sale, barter or give away any rabbit under two months of age, as pets, toys, premiums or novelties.

Wherever live rabbits are permitted to be kept or maintained in the city, no person so keeping or maintaining such rabbits shall fail at any time to keep the pens, hutches, spaces or other enclosures wherein such rabbits are enclosed in a clean and sanitary condition or fail to remove the manure or other debris from such enclosures daily. No person shall fail to conform to and abide by the rules and regulations of the health department with reference to the keeping of such rabbits in such enclosures.

No person shall have, keep, maintain or have in possession or under control chickens on any parcel of property located in the city, except in accordance with the following restrictions:
A. 
Male chickens, or roosters, are prohibited and may not be kept on any residential parcel.
B. 
A maximum of four female chickens, or hens, may be kept on a residential parcel.
C. 
All hen chickens must be confined in a pen, coop, cage, run or other enclosure at all times. Such enclosures must include nesting boxes with a minimum area of three square feet per hen.
D. 
All hen chickens shall be provided with adequate food, water, and ventilation.
E. 
Chicken pens, coops, cages, runs or other enclosures must be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, with feathers, manure or other debris removed daily and stored in an air-tight container prior to disposal.
F. 
Chicken feed must be stored properly to prevent spoilage and to prevent access to other animals and rodents.
G. 
All hen chickens shall be kept within an enclosure that is at least 20 feet distant from any dwelling unit on an adjacent parcel.
H. 
No hen chickens may be kept in the front yard.
