Authority is given to the City Manager to appoint, control and
supervise the City Clerk in accordance with California Government
Code Section 34856, and Section 2.04.060(B)(4) of the Imperial Beach
Municipal Code.

The City Clerk shall be required to give a bond for the faithful
performance of the duties of City Clerk in the sum of $25,000.00.
The premium for this bond shall be a proper charge against City funds.
