No person shall remove any marine growth, mussels or marine wildlife, or in any other way meddle with the groins or jetties in the City.

The City Manager or designated representative is authorized to close or limit access to the groins and jetties if there exists a dangerous or hazardous condition which poses an imminent danger to public health or safety. It is unlawful for any person to refuse or fail to leave the closed areas.

Any violation of this chapter may be prosecuted as either a misdemeanor or an infraction as provided in Chapter 1.12 of this code.
