In accordance with the provisions of California Government Code Section 35504.5, the general municipal election of the city now required to be held on the second Tuesday in April of each even-numbered year, shall be held on the same day as the statewide general election in each even-numbered year commencing with the statewide general election to be held on Tuesday following the first Monday of November, 1986.
