The program will make every effort to recognize the dignity of applicants
while helping eligible persons achieve self-maintenance by promoting
the work incentive. When possible, the program will connect recipients
with rehabilitative, preventive, and protective services to alleviate
nonfinancial needs. The GA program will not place unreasonable restrictions
on the personal rights of applicants or recipients, nor will it discriminate
based on sex, age, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation,
or disability. The municipality is committed to including qualified
individuals with disabilities in municipal services, programs, and
activities. As a result, the municipality will promote a GA program
that when viewed in its entirety is readily accessible to and usable
by individuals with disabilities. GA applicants with physical or mental
disabilities that require a reasonable accommodation in order to access
and/or utilize the GA program are encouraged to contact the municipality
to make an accommodation request.
