By Ordinance No. 44 the duties of assessing property and collecting
taxes, theretofore provided by law to be performed by the assessor
and the tax collector of the city, were transferred pursuant to law
to the county of Riverside. Said duties have been, and shall continue
to be, performed pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Sections
51500 et seq.
