It is unlawful for any person to ride a skateboard, roller skate, in-line skate or any other similar nonmotorized device on public property, or on private property open to the public, where there has been posted in conspicuous places a sign (or signs) not less than 17 inches by 22 inches, with lettering not less than one-inch high, that states that skateboarding, or in-line skating, on the property is prohibited pursuant to this section.
