A. No
person shall park on any street at any time any vehicle bearing a
commercial license plate if such vehicle meets any of the following
criteria:
1. It
has a manufacturer's plate rated capacity of more than 8,000 pounds
gross vehicle weight; or
2. It
is greater than 19 feet in length; or
3. It
is greater than seven feet in width; or
4. It
is greater than seven feet in height.
B. For
purposes of measuring the dimensions of the vehicle per Subsections
(A)(2), (A)(3), and (A)(4), the contents/load of the vehicle will
be included to determine the total overall dimension(s).
C. The
provisions of this section shall not apply: (1) when such vehicle
is parked while actually and continuously being loaded or unloaded;
(2) when such vehicle is parked because its presence is in connection
with and in aid of the performance of a service to or on property
in the block in which such vehicle is parked and is parked only for
such time as is reasonably necessary to complete the permitted service;
(3) when such vehicle is used by a business under contract with the
City to provide a designated service, the contract requires such vehicle
to respond within a specified time, and the vehicle displays a placard
issued by the City showing it is exempt pursuant to this provision;
or (4) when the vehicle is a pickup truck as defined in California
Vehicle Code Section 471.

No person shall park any commercial vehicle, as described in Section
10.16.010, on any private property, where vehicle access made from a street that has not been appropriately designated a "truck route," or located within any residential area, except commercial vehicles registered to public or private schools and/or nonprofit corporations.
