The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Colebrookdale, Berks County, Pennsylvania (the "Township"), hereby appoints the duly elected and/or appointed Treasurer/Tax Collector of the Township as the municipal officer authorized to provide tax certifications, upon request by the public, and the Township hereby authorizes such Treasurer/Tax Collector to assess, collect, and retain, as compensation for providing such additional service, a fee in an amount as set from time to time by resolution of the Board of Commissioners for each tax certification that such treasurer/Tax Collector provides.
The provisions of this article shall be severable, and if any of its provisions shall be held to be unconstitutional, illegal, or otherwise invalid, such decision shall not effect the validity of any of the remaining provisions of this article. It is hereby declared as a legislative intent that this article would have been adopted had such unconstitutional, illegal, or otherwise invalid provision not been included.
