Pursuant to the authority granted in § 4902(a) of the Motor Vehicle Code [75 Pa.C.S.A. § 4902(a)], it shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle or other tractor, trailer, or tractor-trailer combination having a gross weight in excess of 20,000 pounds upon any of the following streets or parts thereof:

Between Funk Road and Orchard Lane.
Swamp Creek Road
Between Route 100 (North) and County Line Road
School buses, emergency vehicles, trucks and other commercial vehicles making local deliveries to or pickups from premises situate within the proscribed streets or part of a street are exempted from the weight and vehicle restrictions imposed in §§ 497-16 and 497-17, above.
A. 
Any person operating a motor vehicle or other tractor, trailer, or tractor-trailer combination upon a street in violation of the restrictions imposed by § 497-16, above, shall be prosecuted under Section 4902(a) and (g)(1) of the Motor Vehicle Code[1] and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $150, plus $150 for each 500 pounds or part thereof in excess of 3000 pounds over the maximum allowable gross weight.

B. 
Any person who violates the provisions of § 497-17, above, shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $25 and costs.
