Township of Colebrookdale, PA: Restricted parking.

As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

To stop a vehicle or to allow it to stand, whether attended or unattended, on or along any street or sidewalk thereof other than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading the vehicle, or in obedience to traffic regulations, traffic signs, or traffic signals.

§ 497-21 No-parking zones established.

Parking shall be prohibited in the following locations at all times:

§ 497-22 Restricted parking.

Parking within the following locations shall be restricted in the manner stated herein:

On both sides of Fifth Street, Sixth Street and Eighth Street ,from Berks Street east on each of the respective streets, parking shall be limited to a maximum of two hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).

On the west side of Berks Street from the Borough of Boyertown and Colebrookdale Township boundary line, 353 feet in a northerly direction, parking shall be limited to handicap parking only.

§ 497-23 Restricted parking during snow storms.

In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and the removal of snow and ice on the roads named in this § 497-23, parking is prohibited on the streets identified below during the period of time from the commencement of snowfall, freezing rain, or sleet until 48 hours after the end of the period of snowfall, freezing rain, or sleet. During that period of time, it shall be unlawful, for any person to park a motor vehicle or to allow a motor vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any road identified below:

§ 497-24 Violations and penalties.

Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of §§ 497-21, 497-22 or 497-23, above, may, upon receipt of a citation, elect to plead guilty to the violation, in which case he shall pay to the Township a fine in the amount of $50 if paid within five days of the issuance of the citation. In the event any person or persons cited for a violation of the provisions of §§ 497-21, 497-22 or 497-23 does not plead guilty by paying the fine within the above-defined time limit, he shall, upon conviction by a Magisterial District Judge for the Township of Colebrookdale, County of Berks, be sentenced to pay such fine and costs as allowed by law. Each daily occurrence of the same offense shall be considered a new offense, and the person or persons shall be fined and ordered to pay the costs of prosecution separately for each offense.[1]
