The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of each ordinance of the City as and when finally passed by the City Council and within 15 days after its passage shall cause it to be published once in The Lompoc Record, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City.

Any ordinance of the City shall take effect and be in force 30 days after the date of its final passage by the City Council, unless a later date is specified in the ordinance, or unless the ordinance, by its provisions, takes effect immediately, pursuant to the provisions of Section 36937 of the Government Code of the State.
