That a certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ironton, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2015 Edition, including Appendix Chapters Appendix C and Appendix D (except that fire apparatus access roads and fire lanes shall have a minimum unobstructed width of not less than twenty-six (26) feet.) (see International Fire Code Section 101.2.1, 2015 Edition), as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Ironton, in the State of Missouri regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fire Code on file in the office of the City of Ironton, Missouri, are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section
500.470 entitled "Amendments to Code" of this Article.

A. The following Sections of the International Fire Code, 2015 Edition,
are hereby revised as follows:
1.
Section 101.1. Insert: City of Ironton, Missouri.
2.
Section 103.1. General. The Mayor shall be the Fire Code Official.
3.
Section 108, Board of Appeals is hereby deleted and replaced
with the following:
SECTION 108 MEANS OF APPEAL.
Section 108.1 Appeals. Applications for appeal of a decision
of the code official shall be made in accordance with Section R112
of the International Residential Code.
4.
Section 111.4. Insert: As referenced in Section
100.220 of the Ironton Municipal Code.
5.
Section 307.2. Permit required. Delete Section.
6.
Section 503.2.1. Dimensions. Fire apparatus access roads shall
have a minimum unobstructed width of not less than twenty-six (26)
feet, except for approved security gates in accordance with Section
503.6, and an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than thirteen
(13) feet six (6) inches.
7.
Section 503.2.1.1. The full width of the fire apparatus access
road shall be provided on both sides of any median or island.
8.
Section 503.2.2. The Fire Code Official or authorized designee.
9.
Section 505.1.1. The required height of address numbers more
than one hundred fifty (150) feet from the nearest public roadway
shall not be less than six (6) inches high with a stroke width of
one (1) inch.
10.
Section 505.1.2. The height and stroke width of address numbers
shall be increased, as approved by the Fire Chief or Code Official,
for all buildings greater than one hundred fifty (150) feet from the
nearest public roadway.
11.
Section 505.1.3. The address or unity range including in buildings
such as apartment buildings or strip malls shall be marked on the
face of the building most visible from a public street. The proper
address or unity number for each unit shall also be marked near the
entrance to each unit.
12.
Section 505.1.4. A directory of addresses or units shall be
provided where required by the Fire Chief or Building Official.
13.
Section 5601.1.3. Fireworks. The possession, manufacture, storage, sale, handling and use of fireworks shall be in accordance with Section
210.2180 through
210.2230 of the Ironton Municipal Code.
14.
Section 1103.5.3. Insert: Sprinkler system must be installed
in existing buildings within one (1) year after discovery or notification
that said products are manufactured, stored or handled in quantities
exceeding one hundred (100) pounds (45 kg) unless the Fire Chief or
authorized designee determines a different time parameter is more
appropriate based on Fire Safety needs in the existing building.
15.
Special Provisions. That the geographic limits referred to in
certain Sections of the 2015 International Fire Code are hereby established
as follows:
a.
Section 5704.2.9.6.1 (geographic limits in which the storage
of Class I and Class II liquids in above-ground tanks outside of buildings
is prohibited). Storage shall be prohibited on property of residential
zoning or use, except for approved storage in conjunction with agricultural
uses.
b.
Section 5706.2.4.4 (geographic limits in which the storage of
Class I and Class II liquids in above-ground tanks is prohibited).
Storage shall be prohibited on property of residential zoning or use,
except for approved storage in conjunction with agricultural uses.
c.
Section 5806.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of flammable
cryogenic fluids in stationary containers is prohibited). Storage
shall be prohibited on property for residential zoning or use except
for approved storage at hospitals.
d.
Section 6104.2 (geographic limits in which the storage of liquefied
petroleum gas is restricted for the protection of heavily populated
or congested areas).
1.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas for consumer use in 100# Cylinder (twenty-five
(25) Water Gallons) and under is permitted in all Zoning Districts.
2.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas in above ground storage tanks over 100#
(twenty-five (25) Water Gallons) but not greater than 200# (fifty
(50) Water Gallons) are allowable as specified in Table A of the City
of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
3.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas in above ground storage tanks over 200#
(fifty (50) Water Gallons) but not greater than two thousand (2,000)
Water Gallons are allowable as specified in Table A of the City of
Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
4.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas in above ground storage tanks over two
thousand (2,000) water gallons are allowable as specified in Table
A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
5.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Sales Offices are allowable as specified
in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
6.
Sales, Refill, and Exchange of Liquefied Petroleum with storage
cylinders less than 200# (fifty (50) Water Gallons) are allowable
as specified in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
7.
Sales, Refill, and Exchange of Liquefied Petroleum with storage
cylinders 200# (fifty (50) Water Gallons) or greater are allowable
as specified in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
8.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Underground Storage Tanks (three
hundred (300) or less Water Gallons) are allowable as specified in
Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
9.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Underground Storage Tanks (three
hundred one (301) to two thousand (2,000) Water Gallons) are allowable
as specified in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
10. Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Underground Storage
Tanks (over two thousand (2,000) Water Gallons) are allowable as specified
in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.
11. Liquefied Petroleum Gas Production Facilities are
allowable as specified in Table A of the City of Ironton Zoning Ordinance.

Chapter 80, Zoning. The Zoning Regulations of the City of Ironton, Missouri, which is set out in the Ironton Municipal Code, Chapter
400 through
420.

A. Violation of this Article or the codes adopted herein shall be punishable
by a fine or by imprisonment in the County Jail in accordance with
the provisions of Chapters 479 and 79, RSMo. Each day any violation
of this Code or any such ordinance, rule, regulation or order shall
continue shall constitute, except where otherwise provided, a separate
ordinance violation.
B. Any person sentenced to imprisonment for violation of any provisions
of this Code or of any other ordinance of this City or of any rule,
regulation or order promulgated pursuant thereto and any person who
fails to pay a fine imposed for any such violation or the costs of
prosecution may be put to work and perform labor on the public streets
or other public works or buildings of the City for such purposes as
the City may deem necessary. For every ten dollars ($10.00) of an
assessed or unpaid fine, a prisoner shall work one (1) hour.
