The city council shall, in any contract for ambulance services,
include such provisions as it deems necessary to protect the public
peace, health or safety.
A.
The
term of any such contract shall not exceed three years.
B.
The
contract shall require that the contractor hold a permit authorizing
it to provide ambulance service in the Rancho Mirage area issued by
the county of Riverside or its agent, the Inland Counties Emergency
Medical Authority. All ambulances used shall be inspected and approved,
and all employees of the contractor employed in the operation of such
ambulances, shall be licensed by, the county of Riverside or its agent,
Inland Counties Emergency Medical Authority.
