When signs are erected giving notice thereof, the following streets or portions of streets are declared to be truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons:

A. 
Whenever any provision of this code or any ordinance of this city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street the use of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the Traffic Engineer is authorized to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as "truck traffic routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum weight limit of three tons.
B. 
When any such truck traffic route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons shall drive on such route or routes and none other except that nothing in this section shall prohibit the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons coming from a truck traffic route having ingress and egress by direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the following purposes:
1. 
Pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets;
2. 
Delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor;
3. 
To leave from or return to the vehicle's storage location provided that the storage of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons is allowable at said location pursuant to the provisions of this code.
C. 
The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
1. 
Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the State Public Utilities Commission; or
2. 
Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.

Lee Avenue from "F" Street to north end of Lee Avenue;
B. 
Lernhart Street from Minahen Street to Imola Avenue;
C. 
Minahen Street from Imola Avenue to Lernhart Street;
D. 
South Hartson Street from Old Sonoma Road to Lernhart Street;
E. 
South Montgomery Street from Old Sonoma Road to Lernhart Street;
F. 
South Seymour Street from Old Sonoma Road to Locust Street;
G. 
Westview Drive from Redwood Road to Scenic Drive;
H. 
Baxter Avenue from Trancas Street to Harkness Street.
I. 
Sierra Avenue from Jefferson Street to State Route 29.

A. 
Whenever any ordinance of this city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle over three tons, the Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected by such ordinance.
B. 
Those streets and parts of streets described in Section 10.48.030 are declared to be streets the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle over three tons. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the state Public Utilities Commission.

A. 
No person shall operate any of the following vehicles in the central traffic district between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day:
1. 
Any freight vehicle more than eight and one-half feet in width, with load, or any vehicle so loaded that any part of its load extends more than three feet to the front or 10 feet to the rear of said vehicle;
2. 
Any vehicle carrying building material that has not been loaded, or is not to be unloaded, at some point within the central traffic district;
3. 
Any freight vehicle with a trailer;
4. 
Any vehicle conveying refuse, rubbish, garbage or dirt, except the vehicles franchised in accordance with Chapter 5.60 of this code.
B. 
Provided that the Police Chief may by written permit authorize the operation of any such vehicle for the purpose of making necessary emergency deliveries to or from points within the central traffic district.

No person shall operate or drive any vehicle used for advertising purposes or any advertising vehicle equipped with a sound amplifying or loudspeaking device upon any street or alley at any street or alley at any time within the central traffic district unless a written permit has been obtained in accordance with Chapter 8.08 of this code.
