The ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted pursuant to
Article XIV, Section 1002 of the Charter of the City of Stockton to
prescribe the qualifications and conditions applicable to the employment
by the City of employees of the Children's Museum, the functions of
which the City is assuming by contract.

Employees shall be examined by the City Physician in accordance
with City standards applied to all entry-level employees.

All employees shall comply with the educational requirements
contained in the applicable class specification at the time of employment.

The City Manager shall designate the appropriate step in the
City salary schedule for each person employed pursuant to this chapter.

Any person employed pursuant to this chapter shall be credited
with the amount of annual leave and sick leave accrued and unused
and not cashed out through the Children's Museum at the time the ordinance
codified in this chapter takes effect.
(Prior code § 2-1106)
Any person employed pursuant to this chapter shall be credited
for all seniority purposes with the period of employment obtained
during their employment with the Children's Museum.

The employment by the City Manager of any person in accordance
with the provisions of this chapter but prior to the effective date
of the ordinance adopting this chapter is hereby ratified.
