Division 1, Public Health Licenses, of Title 8, Consumer Protection, Business and Wage Regulations, of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended and in effect on September 30, 2016, is hereby adopted by reference as the Public Health Licenses Code of the City. All definitions and regulations contained in said Public Health Licenses Code apply only to this chapter of the municipal code and no others.
A copy of the Public Health Licenses Code has been deposited in the office of the City Clerk and shall be at all times maintained by the Clerk for use and examination by the public.

In the event that any conflict or ambiguities arise between the provisions of the Public Health Licenses Code adopted in Section 8.08.010 and any other provisions of the Norwalk Municipal Code, the provisions of the Norwalk Municipal Code shall prevail.

Any person violating any of the provisions of the Public Health Licenses Code as described in Section 8.08.010 is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion of a day during which any violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is committed, continued or permitted, and upon conviction is punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment in the City or County Jail for not more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
