1. The Council
Chambers of the Borough Building is available for leasing for a special
function, which is a nonprofit event by a Borough resident, such as
birthday party, graduation or social gathering. A uniformed policeman
must be present at the time of opening and closing of facilities.
The officer will be compensated at his hourly pay scale for his time.
A leasing fee in an amount as established from time to time by resolution
of Borough council must be paid at the time of leasing, plus the police
officer's fee based upon the estimated hours of rental. A rebate ("breakage
deposit") as provided by resolution of Borough Council will be returned
to the lessee, provided there has not been damage or abuse of the
structure, furniture or facilities. All leasing requests shall be
in writing delivered to the Borough Secretary.
2. Leasing
parties shall be entitled to enter facilities on the day of leasing
(time is a variable) depending on the specific function and preparation,
and must leave building by 11:00 p.m.
3. In the
event any music is provided, such music shall be discontinued at 11:00
p.m.
4. The leasing
parties shall be responsible for the removal of all food, beverage,
containers and decorations. All garbage must be placed in garbage
bags provided by the lessee and placed in garbage cans provided by
the lessor. No kitchen facilities are available at the community building.
5. Smoking
is not permitted in the Council Chambers Room.
6. No alcoholic
beverages shall be served or consumed on site.
7. No attachments
of decorations or otherwise shall be made to the ceiling, woodwork
or walls.
8. Breakage
deposit shall be returned within 30 days after date of usage of the
facilities, provided no damage or breakage has been done. The Borough
of Braddock Hills reserves the right to deduct from said breakage
deposit any sums required to replace or repair damaged goods to the
building or loss of Borough personal property. It is further understood
and agreed by the leasing parties that any damage in excess of the
deposit shall be payable by the leasing parties.
9. The Council
Chambers of the Borough Building is also available for leasing for
a profit making gathering. A fee in an amount as established by resolution
of Borough Council shall be charged. The lessee will be charged for
any damage or abuse to the structure and furniture or any other damage
or loss.

Citizen Facility is available for leasing to Borough residents or
organizations for nonprofit events. No fees will be charged for Women's
Auxiliary, Fire Ladies or Senior Citizen's meetings. All organizations
are liable for damages that may occur. All chairs, furniture and equipment
located in the facility are to remain therein. The Borough will take
an inventory of such items and the leasing party will be responsible
for loss or damage to any such items.
2. The senior
citizen facility is available for leasing for special events, by a
Borough resident such as birthday party, wedding, graduation or social
gathering. A leasing fee in an amount as established from time to
time by resolution of Borough council must be paid at the time of
leasing. A rebate as provided by resolution of Borough Council will
be returned to the lessee, provided there has not been damage or abuse
of the structure, furniture or facilities or loss of Borough personal
property. The rebate will be returned within 30 days.
3. The senior
citizens facility is available for leasing to Borough residents for
profit making events. A fee in an amount as established from time
to time by resolution of Borough Council will be charged with no refund.
4. In the
event any music is provided, such music shall be discontinued at 11:00
p.m.
5. The leasing
parties understand and agree that this lease agreement does not include
the use of any kitchen utensils or dishes.
6. This lease
agreement includes the use of the kitchen facilities in the building
for the dispensing and serving of food previously prepared. It is
specifically understood and agreed, however, the leasing parties will
not cook or otherwise prepare any food on the premises. However, foods
prepared elsewhere may be warmed or refrigerated.
7. The leasing
parties shall be responsible for the removal of all food, beverage
containers and decorations. All garbage must be placed in garbage
bags provided by the lessee and placed in garbage cans provided by
the lessor.
9. No alcoholic
beverages shall be served or consumed on site.
10. The
key to the facility will be available at the Borough office from the
Borough Secretary, and must be returned the following day. Should
the rental be made for Saturday or Sunday, the key can be picked up
on the Friday previous, also from the Borough Secretary.
11. For
special preparations to the facilities, chairs, arrangements, decorations,
etc., the key can be picked up on the day prior to the rental day
to accommodate preparations.
12. No decorations
are to be placed on wallpaper that could mark or damage the same.

The following words and phrases as used in this Part shall have
the meaning ascribed herein, unless the context clearly indicates
a different meaning:
PARKS
Recreation areas located at Braddock Hills Municipal Building,
1300 Brinton Road, and walking trail.
PUBLIC BUILDINGS
Any building owned by the Borough of Braddock Hills, including,
but not limited to, the Borough Building located at 1300 Brinton Road.
SMOKING
Includes: inhaling, exhaling, burning or carrying any lighted
cigarette, cigar, pipe, or any other smoking equipment (including
any electronic devices).

Smoking is prohibited at all times in or upon the grounds of
Borough parks or Borough public buildings.

"NO SMOKING" signs or the international "NO SMOKING" symbol
(consisting of a pictorial representation of a burning cigarette enclosed
in a red circle with a red bar across it). However, the absence of
a "NO SMOKING" sign shall not justify a violation or preclude enforcement
of this Part.

The Borough Council may, but shall not be required to, designate
smoking areas of appropriate size, provided the area has a clearly
marked perimeter, is prominently marked with "SMOKING PERMITTED" signs
and is located the greatest distance practical from buildings, playground
equipment, or pedestrian walkways.

The Borough's Police Department and Code Enforcement Officer
are appointed to enforce this Part.

Any person found to be in violation of this Part shall be subject
to enforcement by way of citation for a summary offense under the
Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure. A fine may be imposed not
in excess of $600 for each violation.
