There is hereby created the Brookshire volunteer fire department.

(a)
The
members of the volunteer fire department shall serve at the will and
pleasure of the city council, removable without cause.
(b)
Each
member of the volunteer fire department shall be appointed by the
city council and approved by the city council.

The
fire chief shall be appointed by the city council and approved by
the city council.
(b)
The
fire chief shall appoint two assistant fire chiefs.

The general membership of the volunteer fire department shall
elect from their ranks a chaplain, sergeant at arms, treasurer, and
secretary, who shall be members in good standing of the volunteer
fire department.

All officers of the volunteer fire department shall serve at
the will and pleasure of the city council, and may be removed without
cause.
