City of Brentwood, CA Chapter 18.32 EXEMPTIONS TO CEQA

§ 18.32.010 General provisions.

The provisions of this chapter set forth a listing of projects which are exempt from the provisions of CEQA pursuant to CEQA guidelines and the provisions of this title.

§ 18.32.020 Nonprojects pursuant to CEQA.

Nonprojects are defined as follows:

A. Those actions set forth in CEQA guidelines Section 15378;

B. The acquisition of land by the city, in and of itself.

§ 18.32.030 Statutory exemptions.

Statutory exemptions to CEQA are as follows:

A. Those projects set forth in CEQA guidelines Article 18;

B. Ministerial projects as follows:

1. Issuance of building, construction and related permits,

2. Design review of minor additions and remodeling which do not require the design and site development review procedure and the approval by the zoning administrator of a certificate of compatibility,

3. Issuance of business licenses,

4. Approval of final subdivision maps and parcel maps,

5. Approval of temporary use permits pursuant to the zoning ordinance,

6. Approval of individual utility service connections and disconnections,

7. Issuance of excavation permits,

8. Issuance of bicycle licenses,

9. Approval of home occupation permits pursuant to the zoning ordinance,

10. Approval of other projects where little or no discretionary judgment or deliberation is involved.

§ 18.32.040 Categorical exemptions.

Categorical exemptions to the provisions of CEQA are as follows:

A. Those projects set forth in CEQA guidelines Article 19;

B. Other: none at this time.
