Except as provided in this chapter, the California Fire Code,
2022 Edition, based on the 2021 International Fire Code, as published
by the California Building Standards Commission, shall be and become
the Fire Code of the City, regulating and governing the safeguarding
of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from
the storage, handling, and use of hazardous substances, materials
and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in
the occupancy of buildings and premises in the City. The California
Fire Code will be on file for public examination in the office of
the building official.
