Pursuant to the authority vested in the board of supervisors by California Government Code Title 3, Division 2, Chapter 1, Article 6, the board of supervisors may appoint a clerk of the board of supervisors to perform the duties set forth in Article 6, including supervising the general operations of the board office and such additional duties as the board of supervisors shall prescribe by ordinance.
