Pursuant to the authority vested in the board of supervisors by Government Code Section 27430 of the State of California, the office of public guardian is created in Stanislaus County.

Pursuant to the authority vested in the board of supervisors by Government Code Section 27431 of the State of California, the designation of the director of mental health as public guardian is terminated, and that office of public guardian is transferred to the public guardian who is designated as public guardian. The public guardian may delegate the duties of that office to other personnel in that office in the discretion of the public guardian.
