While in the continuous service of the county, all county employees shall be entitled to sick leave pay in accordance with state and federal law and as specified in the personnel manual or employee's applicable MOU. All provisions relating to certification, earning rate, distribution upon termination of employment, or other rules and regulations regarding sick leave shall be approved by the board of supervisors.
