Whereas the California Welfare and Institutions Code at Sections 903 and 904 empowers the county board of supervisors to set an amount to be charged persons liable for the support of a minor for the costs of support of a minor detained in, or committed to, any institution or other place pursuant to Section 625 or pursuant to an order of the juvenile court, it is the purpose of this chapter to establish the amount of such fee.

Whereas the county board of supervisors held a public meeting pursuant to California Government Code Section 54986 for the consideration and approval of a juvenile hall daily fee in the amount of twenty-four dollars and forty-one cents per day and based upon the data presented to said board it hereby adopts a juvenile hall fee pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 903 and 904, in the amount of twenty-four dollars and forty-one cents per day.

Whereas California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 903.3 and 904, authorizes the imposition of a fee for the person liable for the support of a minor person, the person himself or herself if he or she is an adult, for the costs to the county for any investigation relating to the sealing and for the sealing of any juvenile court or arrest records pursuant to Section 781 of the Welfare and Institutions Code pertaining to that person it is the intent of the board of supervisors to adopt this chapter to establish such fee.

Whereas the county board of supervisors held a public meeting pursuant to California Government Code Section 54986 for the consideration and approval of a fee for the investigation of and sealing juvenile records in the amount of one hundred twenty dollars and based upon the data presented to the board, it adopts a juvenile record fee pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 903.3 and 904, in the amount of one hundred twenty dollars for each application for such service.

Whereas the county board of supervisors held a public meeting pursuant to California Government Code Section 54986, for the consideration and approval of department of juvenile justice daily support fee in the maximum amount allowed by law per day and based upon the data presented to said board it hereby adopts a department of juvenile justice daily support fee pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 903 and 904, in the maximum amount allowed by law.

Whereas the board of supervisors held a public meeting pursuant to California Government Code Section 54986 for the consideration and approval of fees to be paid to the Stanislaus County probation department to recover the clerical and administrative costs associated with installment accounts in the amount of thirty-five dollars and for the processing of accounts receivable which do not require installment payments in the amount of thirty dollars, and based upon the data presented to this board, it adopts fees to be paid to the Stanislaus County probation department in the amount of thirty-five dollars for the processing of installment accounts and thirty dollars for the processing of accounts receivable which are not to paid in installments.

Whereas the California Penal Code at Section 1202.4(k)(1) authorizes the county board of supervisors to impose a fee to cover the actual administrative costs of collecting a restitution fine, not to exceed ten percent of the amount of restitution ordered to be paid, with the administrative fee to be added to the restitution fine and included in the court's order with the proceeds to be deposited in the general fund of the county, it is the purpose of this chapter to increase the amount of the restitution fee for both juvenile and adult cases.

Whereas the county board of supervisors held a public meeting pursuant to California Government Code Section 54986 for the consideration and approval of increasing the fees to be paid for the administration of collecting restitution fines and for the approval of fees in the amount of one hundred dollars for juvenile cases and two hundred fifty dollars for adult cases, and based upon the data presented to this board, it adopts a restitution administrative fee for juvenile cases in the amount of one hundred dollars and for adult cases the amount of two hundred fifty dollars.
