The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the recovery of
fees associated with the arrest and booking of persons for misdemeanors
and felonies occurring within the City of Santee.

means those fees charged by the County of San Diego to process
and book an individual into any County detention facility plus an
administrative charge of 25%.
means any facility operated by the Sheriff for the safekeeping
of individuals suspected of/or committing a crime(s).

Any person arrested and booked into a detention facility on
any felony or misdemeanor charge must pay any booking fee incurred
by the City. If the person arrested is under 18 years of age, the
individual's parents and/or legal guardians are responsible for paying
the booking fee.

The Finance Director is authorized to process the collection
of all booking fees.
