In accordance with the procedure designated in Section 50001, et seq., of the
Government Code of the State of California, there is hereby adopted by reference as the Animal Control Code of the City of Inglewood that certain set of animal control regulations commonly known as the "Animal Control Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles," presently contained in Title
10 "Animals" of the Los Angeles County Code, as amended up to and including County Ordinance No. 2011-0038 adopted July 26, 2011; provided however, those sections in the Animal Control Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles which apply to the licensing of cats shall not be applicable in the City of Inglewood. The City Clerk shall make copies available to the public at a price not to exceed the actual cost of printing or purchase from the County of Los Angeles.

The following rules shall govern the interpretation of said
Animal Control Code:
(1) Whenever
the words "unincorporated territory of the County of Los Angeles"
appear in said Animal Control Code, it shall be interpreted and deemed
to mean the word "City."
(2) Whenever
there is a conflict between any of the provisions of said Animal Control
Code and any provision contained in the Inglewood Municipal Code relating
to the same subject matter, the latter shall prevail.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep to maintain, or
permit the keeping of, upon any premises owned, occupied, or controlled
by such person any animal or fowl otherwise permitted to be kept which,
by any sound, cry, or behavioral noise, shall cause annoyance or discomfort
to a reasonable person of normal sensitiveness in any residential
neighborhood.

It shall be unlawful for any person to raise or keep chickens,
rabbits, goats, pigeons, ducks, geese, turkeys or fowls, other than
household pets as defined in this Chapter, within those certain districts
of the City commonly known as "Imperial Village," "Morningside Park"
and Lockhaven as described in Ordinance No. 1800. Such animals and
fowls shall not be permitted in any other area of the City without
a permit duly issued pursuant to the provisions of this Chapter.

Except as otherwise provided for herein, no person shall feed
or in any manner provide food to a nondomesticated rodent or a nondomesticated
mammalian predator. For purposes of this Section rodent includes coyote,
raccoon, fox, and opossum.
A person may feed or provide food to a nondomesticated rodent
or a nondomesticated mammalian predator under the following instances:
A. When the
person is the owner of such a rodent or mammalian predator, and such
rodent or predator is kept under a valid certificate or permit issued
by the State of California Department of Fish and Game;
B. When the
person feeds or provides food to a trapped, injured or unweaned, nondomesticated
rodent or predator between the time the agency in charge of animal
control or its designated agent is notified and picked up by said
agency.
A violation of this Section shall be an infraction punishable
by:

A fine not exceeding $50 for a first violation;
|
B.
|
A fine not exceeding $100 for a second violation within one
year;
|
C.
|
A fine not exceeding $250 for each additional violation within
one year.

(1) Any person violating any of the provisions of Animal Control Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles, adopted by Inglewood Municipal Code Section
4-13 using the procedure designated in Section 50001 et seq., of the California
Government Code, as the Animal Control Code of the city of Inglewood, is guilty of an infraction, unless another penalty is provided for hereafter in subsection
(2).
(2) Violations of the following Sections of the Animal Control Ordinance of the County of Los Angeles, referred to in subsection
(1) hereof are misdemeanors:

No person shall transport any dog in or on the back or bed of
any open truck or other open vehicle while traveling on any public
street or highway within the City.
