In accordance with the certain initiative ordinance adopted
by the qualified electors of the City on November 6, 1962, the establishment
of any cemetery or maintenance of any cemetery within the City is
prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to bury, or inter
the dead body of any human being or any human remains in any place
within the City except that any property which was lawfully dedicated
or lawfully in use or lawfully held for cemetery, mausoleum or interment
purposes on or before January 15, 1912, or any property hereafter
annexed to the City, which was lawfully dedicated or lawfully in use
or lawfully held for such purpose at the time such annexation became
effective, but as to such properties only, such use for such purposes
may be continued.
