A.
Determination and notice. Upon determination by the Enforcement Officer that a violation of this chapter exists, he shall give written notice to the last known record owner of said property as shown on the assessment roll of the Town of Camden, and also to the occupant of said premises, either personally or by certified mail, setting forth the nature of the violation and requiring correction of such violation within a period of 10 days.
B.
Suspension or revocation of permit or license. Upon the expiration of such notice of 10 days, the Town Board may suspend or revoke any permit or license theretofore granted under the authority of this chapter upon determining that a violation of this chapter has occurred or continues to exist.
C.
Penalty[1]. Any person who shall continue to violate any provision of this chapter, after the determination of the Town Board that a violation continues as provided in Subsections A and B this section, shall be guilty of an offense, punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. However, for the purpose of conferring jurisdiction upon courts and judicial officers generally, violations of this chapter shall be deemed misdemeanors and for such purpose only all provisions of law relating to misdemeanors shall apply to such violations. Each week's continued violation shall constitute a separate additional violation. Conviction of any person for the offense of violating this chapter shall constitute an immediate forfeiture and revocation of any license or permit theretofore issued to such person.
D.
Procedure for abatement. In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted, or maintained, or any building, structure, or land is used in violation of this chapter, or of any regulation made under authority conferred hereby, the Town Board, or with their approval the Enforcement Officer or other proper official, in addition to other remedies, may institute any appropriate action of proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, or use, to restrain, correct, or abate such violation, to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business, or use in or about such premises.
