It has been determined by the city of Riverton that, since Fremont County is located in Zone 1 (high potential) for radon gas per the International Building Code, it is in the best interest of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the city to provide awareness of the issue of radon gas.

Residential home plans and drawings for new construction and home installation will indicate how radon gas is to be addressed and/or mitigated for each individual home construction site with exception to the following: additions to existing residential structures.
