Public acquisition.
A.
Whenever any lot, any building, any structure, or any use is rendered nonconforming within the meaning of the city municipal code solely by:
1.
Dedication to, or purchase by, the city for any public street purpose; or
2.
Eminent domain proceedings.
B.
Which result in the acquisition by the city of a portion of such property, the same shall not be deemed nonconforming within the meaning of the city municipal code.
