A. 
There is hereby adopted by reference, except as hereinafter provided, that certain Plumbing Code known and designated as the 2022 California Plumbing Code. Such code shall become the Plumbing Code of the City, regulating plumbing and drainage systems, house sewers, private sewage disposal systems, and prescribing conditions under which such work may be carried on within the City and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor.
B. 
One copy of said 2022 California Plumbing Code has been deposited in the office of the City Clerk of the City and shall be at all times maintained by said Clerk for use and examination by the public.
C. 
Said edition of the 2022 California Plumbing Code, except as hereinafter amended, is the Plumbing Code of the City as set forth in this chapter.

Whenever any of the following names or terms are used in said Los Angeles County Plumbing Code, each such name or term shall be deemed and construed to have the meaning ascribed to it in this section as follows:
Administrative authority, chief plumbing inspector or plumbing inspector.
The Planning Director of the City of Paramount.
City.
The City of Paramount except in Section 3 of said Plumbing Code.
County, County of Los Angeles or unincorporated territory of the County of Los Angeles.
The City of Paramount.

Any person desiring a permit required by this Code shall, at the time of filing an application therefor, pay a fee as established by resolution of the Paramount City Council.
