As used in this chapter, the following word and phrases shall
have the meanings ascribed to them in this section.
means a seat located upon any public property along any street
for the accommodation of pedestrians or persons awaiting transportation.
means a person to whom a permit has been issued pursuant
to this chapter.

All benches which have been placed and remain at any location
on the streets of the city on October 6, 1969, shall be removed within
ninety days from and after the effective date of the ordinance from
which this chapter derives, unless prior to such removal date a permit
has been duly obtained in the form and manner as prescribed in this
chapter.
