Adult.
A person 19 years of age or older.
Child.
A person under 6 years of age.
Disabled.
A disabled person registered with the Beaumont Municipal Transit System who has been issued a transit identification card indicating same, based on certification by a government agency or physician, or otherwise presenting a Medicare card.
Seniors.
A person 65 years of age or older.
Special transit services (STS).
Transit services for persons disabled by medical conditions that make the use of regular transit services ineffective, who are registered with the Beaumont Municipal Transit System and have been issued a transit identification card indicating same based on physician-provided proof of disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Youth.
A person between the ages of 6 and 18 years of age.

The director responsible for the Beaumont Municipal Transit System will develop the forms, procedures, and guidelines needed to issue identification cards and implement the provisions of this article.

(a) 
Regular fixed route fares.
(1) 
Adult fares: $1.50; day pass: $3.00; weekly pass: $12.00; monthly pass: $40.00.
(2) 
Seniors, disabled, and youth fares: $0.75; day pass: $2.25; weekly pass: $9.00; monthly pass: $30.00.
(3) 
Child fares: Free. A child must be accompanied by a fare-paying passenger.
(4) 
Veterans: Free.
(5) 
Transfers: $0.25.
(6) 
If requested by the driver, proof of eligibility for other than an adult fare must be presented upon boarding.
(b) 
Special transit services (STS) fares.
(1) 
STS identification card holder fares: $2.50; monthly pass: $80.00.
(2) 
Medical attendant accompanying STS passenger: Free.
(3) 
Companion accompanying STS passenger: $2.50.
(4) 
Veterans: Free.
(5) 
Proof of eligibility must be presented upon request when purchasing a pass card.
(6) 
Additional companions may be allowed subject to available space at the companion rate.
(7) 
Contracted service provided to social service agencies shall be priced based on the cost of such service.
